 The new economic transformation plan (ETP) in Malaysia emphasized this importance of research and development (R&D)as an essential element to the creation of new knowledge that can contribute positively for the benefits of the nation.Enhancement of research and innovation at the institutions of higher learning (IHL) would accelerate progress towards knowledge-based economy and further enhance Malaysia's position in the global competitive index ranking. It is extremely important for us to provide condusive environment and eco-system that can promote R&D activities in the academia to be applied in the industry. Realizing this, UTeM have taken serious initiative to pioneering future technology by introducing a new research excellence formulawhich include five majors factors i.e., strong technical research, explore and provide total solutions for industries, producing high impactpublications, creation of new inovations relevan (TyCoE).
